1. Who we are
Wellness Mortgage & Protection (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data you provide through this client portal. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
2. What data we hold
- Identity & contact details (name, address, date of birth, email, phone).
- Financial details required to advise on mortgages and protection.
- Documents you upload (ID, proof of income, mortgage documents).
- Communications with your adviser through the portal.
- Technical data (IP, device) to keep the portal secure.
3. Why we use it
- To provide regulated mortgage and protection advice (contract / legitimate interest).
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations (FCA, AML, tax).
- To send service messages about your case and appointments.
- We may process information relating to adviser fees and payment arrangements where applicable, but we do not currently process card payments through this website.
- Marketing only with your explicit consent — you can withdraw it at any time in your Profile.
4. Sharing
We share your data only with lenders, insurers, regulators and sub-processors (hosting, email delivery, payments) who are bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms. We do not sell your data.
5. Retention
We retain client records for at least the period required by the FCA (typically 6 years from the end of the relationship, longer for pensions and life policies).
6. Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Email elize@wellnessmortgageandprotection.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
